Manufacturing Process Engineer (Food & Beverage)
MOHR Talent is partnering with a large, high-performing food & beverage manufacturing organization to add a Process Engineer to strengthen process optimization, plant support, and capital project execution. The role involves troubleshooting production issues, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and providing technical support to plant operations and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
Troubleshoot live production and process issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, throughput, reliability, and safety
Provide day-to-day technical support to plant operations and cross-functional teams
Evaluate, select, and support the implementation of new equipment and process technologies
Monitor plant performance, collect and analyze operational data, and translate findings into actionable improvements
Develop and execute test plans and process trials; analyze results and present recommendations to leadership
Support both plant-led and corporate-led capital projects, including scope development, cost/benefit analysis, budgeting, documentation, and execution
Review engineering drawings, technical scopes of work, and contractor deliverables
Perform engineering calculations required for conceptual and detailed design work
Assist with equipment startup, commissioning, and acceptance testing
Support the development, review, and implementation of operating procedures aligned with GMP, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
Interface with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to support equipment selection, installation, and field support
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering (required; non-negotiable)
3–5+ years of plant-based process or manufacturing engineering experience in food, beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing environments
Hands-on experience supporting 24/7 manufacturing operations
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency; comfort working with operational data
Working knowledge of GMPs, SOPs, FDA, USDA, and OSHA regulations
Strong communication, documentation, and project coordination skills
Ability to work cross-functionally and effectively manage vendors and contractors
Preferred
Experience with AutoCAD or similar engineering software
Background with aseptic, HTST, ESL, or Tetra-style processing systems
Exposure to capital projects, equipment upgrades, or system improvements
