Responsibilities
Design, build, and own scalable streaming data pipelines and ETL workflows for our client
Optimize large-scale, high-performance databases and ensure efficient data storage
Integrate high-volume data feeds and process them for real-time applications
Deploy and manage containerized infrastructure using Docker and Kubernetes
Collaborate with platform and frontend engineers to deliver real-time data to user interfaces
Monitor system performance, reliability, and scalability using modern observability tools
Implement and enforce data security best practices, logging, and alerting
Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to overall platform stability
Participate in code reviews and help improve engineering standards
Qualification
Required
3+ years of professional backend software engineering experience
Strong proficiency in Python and/or JVM-based languages such as Kotlin or Java
Experience building large-scale data processing and ETL systems
Expertise with relational and analytical databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Clickhouse)
Solid understanding of distributed systems and streaming architectures
Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
Familiarity with public cloud environments such as AWS or GCP
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
Excellent problem-solving skills and strong communication abilities
Preferred
Experience with Kafka, Flink, Spark, or Apache Beam
Familiarity with financial data systems, trading platforms, or investment applications
Production experience operating Kubernetes at scale
Background with machine learning pipelines or complex data workflows
Understanding of real-time analytics and high-throughput environments
