Director Key Account Sales

The Director of Key Account Sales will drive new business development and deepen client relationships, shaping the company's growth in the packaging market.
Responsibilities
Drive new business development by leveraging our collective packaging industry networks to identify and secure new enterprise-level opportunities
Develop and execute comprehensive account strategies for key clients across the CPG, Retail, E-Commerce, Foodservice, and Manufacturing sectors
Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, targeting companies with packaging teams needing specialized testing, quality assurance, and analytical services
Conduct in-depth needs assessments to identify clients' packaging testing and analytical requirements
Design customized solutions that showcase Clear Packaging Laboratories' unique advantages and technical capabilities
Lead complex negotiations for multi-year service agreements
Collaborate with our best-in-class technical teams to ensure solutions exceed client expectations
Represent Clear Packaging Laboratories at major industry conferences, tradeshows, and networking events
Provide strategic market intelligence and competitive analysis to executive leadership
Identify emerging trends in packaging regulations, sustainability requirements, and testing methodologies
Contribute to thought leadership initiatives and content development
Achieve ambitious revenue targets while maintaining and protecting the company’s reputation for the highest standards of customer satisfaction
Expand existing client relationships through upselling and cross-selling opportunities
Help to implement best practices in CRM management and sales process optimization
Collaborate with team members to achieve, and exceed, customer expectations
Qualification
Required
5+ years of packaging industry experience with demonstrated knowledge of testing protocols, regulations, and quality assurance requirements
Proven track record of managing complex B2B sales cycles
Established relationships within packaging teams at CPG, Retail, E-Commerce, and Manufacturing companies
Understanding of ASTM, ISTA, TAPPI, and other relevant packaging standards and testing methodologies
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field; technical background preferred
Willingness to travel to customer locations as required
Preferred
Previous experience with packaging testing laboratories or related technical service providers
Proficiency with CRM, Marketing, and Sales Analytics systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)
Knowledge of sustainable packaging trends and circular economy principles
Experience with consultative selling methodologies (Challenger Sale, Solution Selling, etc.)
Located in Cincinnati, Ohio, or the surrounding area; this is an onsite position
