Accounting Manager
hireneXus is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting department's operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. This role involves leading the month-end close process, mentoring team members, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Responsibilities
Deliver accurate and timely monthly financial reporting packages, offering clear, actionable insights for leadership decision-making
Perform in-depth financial statement analysis and respond to ad hoc reporting needs
Partner with department leaders to develop reporting on client profitability and uncover cost optimization opportunities
Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to drive greater efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across accounting functions
Oversee core accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and tax compliance
Approve weekly disbursements and maintain current cash flow forecasts to support financial planning
Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting financial schedules
Prepare and analyze financial statements for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with GAAP standards
Develop detailed financial reports and variance analyses, highlighting trends, root causes, and actionable recommendations
Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic business decisions
Participate in monthly financial reviews with department leaders, offering insights and guidance
Evaluate and refine accounting procedures, maintaining strong internal controls and proper documentation
Mentor and develop accounting team members through performance management, goal setting, and professional development
Coordinate and support external audits, ensuring timely and complete preparation of all required documentation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities
Deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels
Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams
Strong analytical mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement
Preferred
Experience in a service-based business environment strongly preferred
