Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy in alignment with the company's goals and objectives. Define data-related KPIs and establish a roadmap for data operations
Implement and manage data governance policies, standards, and processes to maintain data quality, security, and compliance with relevant regulations
Oversee the acquisition and ingestion of data from various sources, ensuring that data is accurate, complete, and timely
Manage and optimize data warehousing infrastructure, ensuring data availability, scalability, and performance
Establish data quality metrics and implement data cleansing and validation processes to maintain the accuracy and reliability of data assets
Lead data integration efforts to ensure seamless data flow between systems and departments, enabling efficient data utilization
Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to support their needs for high-quality data, helping to uncover insights and trends that drive informed decision-making
Manage and mentor a team of data professionals, including data engineers, data analysts, and data administrators. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture
Stay up-to-date with emerging data technologies and tools. Evaluate and implement new solutions that enhance data operations and support business objectives
Implement and maintain robust data security protocols to protect sensitive information and prevent data breaches
Generate and present regular reports on data operations performance, data quality, and key metrics to senior leadership
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
5+ years of SQL and Python experience
Strong knowledge of data management, data warehousing, ETL processes, and data governance best practices
Familiarity with data analytics and business intelligence tools
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Strong project management and organizational skills
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving work environment
Preferred
Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, DataBricks, AWS, etc.)
Knowledge of big data paradigms, such as Map Reduce
Previous experience in industries with high data volume and complexity, such as finance or e-commerce
