Part-Time Bookkeeper
Advanced Automation Consulting is seeking a Bookkeeper for a part-time position in Matthews, NC. The role involves managing all aspects of bookkeeping, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, and financial record-keeping while collaborating closely with the Operations Manager to ensure financial accuracy and process improvements.

Responsibilities
Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
Handle all invoicing and payment processing
Prepare and record bank deposits
Maintain cash-on-hand records and update financial reports
Compile and consolidate financial metrics and scorecards
Work with the Operations Manager to ensure accurate and timely billing
Identify inefficiencies in record-keeping and financial processes
Recommend workflow improvements and efficiency gains
Assist in budget preparation and track actuals throughout the year
Provide insights on tax strategies, including optimal timing for equipment purchases/sales
Analyze service call metrics vs. profitability to support financial decision-making
Qualification
Required
Strong QuickBooks experience (required)
Experience with AR/AP, invoicing, and financial reporting
Knowledge of budgeting and financial planning
Ability to identify and implement efficiency improvements in financial workflows
Strong analytical skills to understand service call metrics vs. profitability
Thick-skinned, adaptable personality suited for a blue-collar work environment
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Relevant bookkeeping or accounting experience (certifications are a plus)
Proficiency in QuickBooks (certification preferred)
Preferred
Experience with small business bookkeeping
Understanding of tax strategies and financial planning for equipment purchases/sales
Previous experience in service-based industries
