Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day general ledger activities for multiple portfolio entities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and expense categorization
Oversee the full Accounts Receivable cycle for portfolio companies, ensuring timely invoicing and efficient collections
Manage banking relationships, execute wire transfers, and monitor daily cash balances across different operating accounts
Lead the month-end close process for assigned portfolio companies to produce timely, accurate P&Ls, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements
Partner with portfolio CEOs to drive annual budgeting and maintain rolling 13-week cash flow forecasts
Develop and track financial KPIs to provide both portfolio leadership and CGP partners with visibility into operational health
Process payroll accurately for portfolio teams, ensuring compliance with federal/state tax requirements
Administer employee benefits programs (health, 401k) and manage commercial insurance renewals/audits for the portfolio
Serve as the primary liaison between portfolio companies and external CPAs for annual tax filings and estimated payments
Qualification
Required
5–7+ years of accounting or finance experience, preferably acting as a Controller or Finance Manager for small-to-mid-sized businesses
Demonstrated experience managing the full accounting cycle (AP/AR, Payroll, GL, Closing) without a large support team
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Xero) and advanced Excel skills are required
A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is required
