Responsibilities

Draft and file petitions and related legal documents using cutting edge drafting software
Analyze client data and case information to prepare legally accurate and strategically sound documents
Serve as the legal expert on Texas procedural requirements and court filing practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, legal ops) to identify friction points and recommend improvements in the drafting software
Provide actionable feedback on the tool’s usability, logic, and compliance to support ongoing development
Monitor changes in Texas law and court procedures that impact the platform and documentation standards
Contribute to the development of internal guidelines, templates, and best practices for Texas-based filings

Required

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Excellent legal writing and document drafting skills
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and professional judgment
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote, fast-paced environment
Interest in legal technology and product development

Preferred

Experience with legal technology platforms (e.g., e-filing systems, document automation tools)
Previous work in a startup or innovation-focused legal setting
Experience providing feedback to product teams or working on user-centered legal tools
