SoTalent is a regional medical center in Alaska seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to support diagnostic testing services during evening hours. This role is responsible for performing accurate, timely, and efficient laboratory analyses that support the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of patient conditions.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and advanced laboratory testing on patient specimens in accordance with established procedures

Ensure accuracy, precision, and timeliness of test results to support patient care

Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment

Apply quality control and quality assurance practices to maintain compliance with laboratory standards

Provide technical support and expertise to clinical teams and affiliated healthcare partners

Adhere to safety, regulatory, and accreditation requirements

Required

Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related scientific discipline

Bachelor's-level education in a chemical, biological, or physical science combined with sufficient clinical laboratory training to meet national certification eligibility

Eligibility for, and attainment within one year of hire, national certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist through a recognized accrediting organization (e.g., ASCP, AMT, AAB)
