Responsibilities

Candidates will ideally have already cut their teeth in trusts, estates, and probate litigation and will know the Texas Estates Code, Texas Trust Code, and the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure
However, the firm is willing to train
It will consider good litigators in other areas of the law who wish to pursue a career in trusts, estates, and probate litigation work
It will also consider persons with estate planning, trust and estates administration, and probate administration experience who wish to pursue a litigation career in those fields of law
All candidates must be splendid legal writers; and they will be graduates of leading law schools
The expected salary for the position is $140,000 – 150,000 +, depending upon experience
The firm offers standard and other benefits, as summarized below, as well as annual discretionary bonuses
The position is on-site in Dallas
However, remote work from anywhere in Texas will be considered for attorneys with at least three (3+) years of experience in trusts, estates, and probate litigation

Required

Candidates must be members of the Texas State Bar with the requisite qualifications
Candidates must have the writing chops and horsepower of great attorneys
Candidates must be creative in their litigation styles
Candidates must love getting to the bottom of things
Candidates must be natural learners who grow by learning and doing
Candidates must have been entrepreneurial in their careers
Candidates must be self-starters who follow up on matters naturally
Candidates must be team players who know and appreciate the value of being stronger together
Candidates must consistently deliver 1800 quality billable hours annually

Preferred

Candidates have already cut their teeth in probate litigation and know the Texas Estates Code, Texas Trust Code, and the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure
Candidates have at least one year (1 yr.) of attorney litigation experience, specifically in trusts, estates, and probate disputes
