Responsibilities

Work with integrated product teams to evaluate nonconforming products and determine root cause and corrective action for defects
Review internal manufacturing planning and external supplier process changes to ensure compliance with drawing, specification and contractual requirements
Provide innovative, thorough and practical solutions for continuous improvement and cost reduction of manufacturing processes. Develop and apply new and advanced methods to meet new or unusual requirements
Perform failure mode effect analysis of product design disclosure documents and specifications, utilizing inspection analysis tools and six sigma principles
Determine gage and instrumentation adequacy. Perform gage R & R studies to determine process capabilities, needs and future usage

Required

Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior Quality or Manufacturing Engineering experience
Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior Quality or Manufacturing Engineering experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior Quality or Manufacturing Engineering experience
Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Aerospace Engineering is preferred
Experienced in conducting root cause analysis and recommending data-driven corrective actions
CQE or LEAN / Six Sigma certifications is preferred
Aerospace industry experience is a plus
Experience working with and around chemicals and/or explosives is a plus
Electrical and mechanical assembly knowledge is preferred
Practical knowledge of project management is desired
