Marketing Cloud Senior Consultant

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary client-facing consultant for Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement projects
Lead and facilitate discovery sessions to gather and define business and technical requirements
Translate business needs into scalable and maintainable Marketing Cloud solutions
Configure and implement Salesforce Marketing Cloud features
Design and configure customer journeys, data extensions, automations, and triggered sends
Create solution documentation, business requirements documents (BRDs), and technical specifications
Work with engineers and technical consultants to ensure requirements are clearly communicated and delivered accurately
Provide strategic guidance on data modeling, segmentation, and personalization tactics
Train and support client stakeholders on Marketing Cloud functionality as needed
Qualification
Required
4–6 years of experience in a client-facing role, preferably within a consulting or agency environment
3+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement
Proven ability to lead client meetings and translate business goals into Marketing Cloud configurations
Experience configuring: Email Studio, Mobile Studio, and Advertising Studio, Journey Builder and Automation Studio, Marketing Cloud Connect with Salesforce CRM, Data Designer and Contact Builder, Data Cloud
Strong documentation and communication skills; ability to produce business requirements, configuration workbooks, and solution designs
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining client satisfaction
Preferred
Understanding of relational data modeling and data extension management
Familiarity with Salesforce CRM (especially Sales Cloud or Service Cloud)
Proficiency with AMPscript, SQL, and Server-Side JavaScript within Marketing Cloud
Experience working with Marketing Cloud APIs (REST and SOAP)
Prior experience working in an agile delivery environment
Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, including identity resolution, segment activation, and real-time personalization
Experience in Higher Education or Nonprofit industries
