Davis School District is seeking an Energy/Security Technician who will be responsible for installing, setting up, adjusting, and repairing electronic energy management and security systems. The role also includes designing and building components of systems and completing electrical installations required for system power.

Responsibilities

Under the general supervision of the Controls Foreman, the Energy/Security Technician installs, sets up, adjusts and repairs electronic energy management and security systems
Also requires the incumbent to design and build components of systems and complete electrical installation required for system power

Qualification

Energy management systemsSecurity systemsElectrical constructionHVAC systemsBasic computer skillsTechnical applicationsEquipment repairJourneyman certificate

Required

Completion of journeyman apprentice program or equivalent training and experience
Four (4) years of experience related to the above tasks, knowledge, skills and abilities or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Driver's license
Journeyman certificate desirable
Knowledge of electrical construction
Thorough knowledge of energy and access control systems
Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, fire alarm systems, electric and pneumatic controls
Basic computer skills
Ability to use highly technical computer applications
Ability to use or repair small, medium and heavy equipment
