Responsibilities
Design and evaluate token economic models, including supply schedules, emissions, incentives, and fee mechanisms
Develop mechanism designs that align participant behavior with long-term protocol sustainability
Analyze incentive structures across validators, users, liquidity providers, and governance participants
Assess risks related to inflation, reflexivity, rent-seeking, governance capture, and adverse selection
Model token flows, velocity, equilibrium dynamics, and stress scenarios across market cycles
Advise on governance frameworks, voting mechanics, and incentive-compatible decision-making
Produce clear documentation, simulations, and written analyses for stakeholders and governance forums
Contribute to industry standards and best practices for responsible token design
Qualification
Required
Extensive experience in tokenomics, mechanism design, or crypto-economic research
Strong grounding in economics, game theory, or incentive design applied to decentralized systems
Deep understanding of DeFi, protocol governance, and on-chain incentive structures
Proven ability to identify failure modes in token models and incentive systems
Experience working with DAOs, protocol foundations, or Web3-native organizations
Strong quantitative and analytical skills; ability to reason rigorously about complex systems
Clear written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex economic concepts
High integrity, intellectual rigor, and long-term ecosystem mindset
This is a remote role; however, candidates must be U.S. citizens and authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available
