FREEDOMCAD is a PCB Design & Engineering company, and they are seeking a Senior PCB Designer skilled in Allegro or Altium. The role involves high-speed, high-layer count PCB layout, project management, and customer interfacing to ensure timely delivery of complex designs.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibility: PCB Layout of High-Speed, High Layer count, High Complexity designs in Allegro or Altium

Loads and debugs Schematic net lists

Capable of creating and inputting design rules

Project Management tasks which include: customer interfacing, following and meeting schedules and timelines, identification and communication of out of scope work to Program Management, FCS management, and the delegation of design tasks to subordinates

Required to accurately quote layout work, forecast schedules, and drive and motivate team to meet committed schedules

Must be willing to work extended and flexible hours to meet critical schedules when necessary

Basic Schematic knowledge

Required

Must be an Expert with High-Speed, High Layer count, High Complexity designs

Very knowledgeable with Cadence Allegro or Altium, including significant experience setting constraints

Knowledge of signal integrity design constraints encompassing differential pairs, impedance control, EMI, and ESD

Must have wide breath of experience in high speed design characteristics, Power (current carrying formula, sense lines, voltage drops), and HDI technologies, Hazardous voltages

Excellent and positive communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem solving skills

Requires strong project management skills

Excellent team player that can effectively lead projects and mentor others in all geographic locations

Adapts well to changing customer requirements

Works with customer and FCS team to ensure compliance with Standard Manufacturing Design specifications (IPC (including Class 2 and 3), Customer Specific, etc.,)

Self-motivated and must be able to work independently and in a team atmosphere

Comprehensive knowledge of all latest core features of design software tool

Ability to create competitive solutions for customers
