The Project Plumber is a senior-level commercial plumber responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems on commercial projects, requiring strong technical skills and the ability to work independently while ensuring jobsite productivity and quality.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing systems (domestic water, sanitary, vent, storm, and gas piping as applicable)

Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings to complete work accurately

Lay out, assemble, and install piping, valves, fixtures, and equipment using proper methods and tools

Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs to resolve jobsite or system issues

Coordinate with supervisors, project teams, and other trades to avoid conflicts and maintain schedule

Complete testing (pressure/leak tests), support inspections, and ensure code compliance

Identify material needs and communicate jobsite requirements to leadership in advance

Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and any field changes

Mentor apprentices/helpers and promote best practices and craftsmanship on the jobsite

Follow all safety policies and procedures; maintain a clean and organized work area
