1st Shift Machine Operator
Daifuku is the nation’s leading independent provider of intelligent material handling systems, and they are seeking a 1st Shift Machine Operator. The role involves operating CNC machines to manufacture parts, ensuring quality and safety, and maintaining a clean work environment.

Responsibilities
Measuring and setting up machines to manufacture a high volume of parts
Performing machine shop and mold press operations to support Assembly
Detecting defective materials and questionable conditions and reports to the manager
Maintaining the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition
Following safety regulations
Performing preventative maintenance on machines
Employees are responsible for complying with all requirements of Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures
Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction
Qualification
Required
Must be able to read exact measurements on a tape measure without assistance!
Must be able to read blueprints!
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum of 1 year of related experience
Ability to use a band saw, hand tools and calipers and perform milling, turning, drilling, taping, deburring, molding, and all bench operations
Ability to read blueprints
Basic math skills
Knowledge of standard and metric measurements
Knowledge of quality assurance and self-inspection techniques
Self-motivated and detail-oriented
Team orientation
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction
Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time
Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another
Pushing: Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward
Pulling: Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion
Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to-position
Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm
Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in sound
Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
Visual: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes
