Outside Sales (Industrial Generator Services)

Generator Source is a leading provider of new, surplus, and used industrial generators across the U.S. The Field Service Sales Manager is responsible for driving growth in rentals and service contracts, developing new business, and building strong customer relationships in various industries that rely on reliable power solutions.

Responsibilities

Identify, target, and secure new customers for Generator Source rental and service agreements
Develop a strong pipeline of opportunities
Manage the entire sales cycle: prospecting, proposals, negotiations, and contract execution
Achieve or exceed revenue and profitability goals for the State of Colorado
Maintain and develop key customer relationships; serve as a trusted advisor
Cross-sell and upsell across rental and service offerings
Conduct customer business reviews to align solutions with evolving needs
Ensure high levels of customer retention and satisfaction
Research and analyze regional market trends, competitors, and growth opportunities
Participate in industry associations, tradeshows, and networking events to expand presence
Provide feedback to leadership on product, pricing, and competitive positioning
Work closely with the Colorado Regional Manager, service teams, and operations to ensure seamless delivery
Partner with marketing to execute campaigns, events, and lead generation initiatives
Coordinate with service managers to align rental availability and preventive maintenance capacity
Maintain accurate Salesforce (CRM) records of opportunities, customer interactions, and contracts
Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and regional growth plans to leadership
Track and report on KPIs including revenue, utilization, new account wins, and contract renewals

Required

5+ years of sales/business development experience, with at least 2+ years in power generation, equipment rental, or industrial services
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding regional revenue targets
Strong hunter mentality with proven ability to close large contracts
Knowledge of power generation systems (diesel, natural gas, portable, standby generators)
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in CRM systems (NetSuite, Salesforce, Dynamics, or similar)
Willingness to travel extensively within the region
Sales: 5 years (Required)
Business development: 5 years (Required)
Industrial equipment: 3 years (Required)
CRM software: 5 years (Required)
