Sr Advanced Program Finance Specialist
General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Sr Advanced Program Finance Specialist. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems, focusing on financial management and compliance for various programs.

Responsibilities
Ensure timely and accurate charges to contracts/programs based on contractual terms and conditions
Maintain accurate records of expenditures, direct preparation of expenditure projections, and submit timely requests for additional funding
Follow ASC 606 and GDMS processes and procedures in developing estimates and preparing booking rates
Incorporate contractual changes into control systems to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines
Initiate, review, and approve invoices, respond to customer invoice inquiries, and resolve invoicing issues
Monitor and ensure ASC 606 Revenue Recognition and Earnings Rate Reviews compliance
Provide support for proposal activity, including modeling potential financial results and developing proposal estimate rationale
Set up cost control systems, monitor, and control costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control systems
Collaborate with program management to manage financial aspects, optimizing program cash flow and profitability
Perform month-end close activities for assigned programs/business
Analyze and present financial status of assigned programs, including orders, funding, sales, profit, and cash flow actuals and projections to program management
Manage and monitor accounts receivable and cash contributions, ensuring timely preparation of billing and collection of cash
Present financial status of programs to customers at significant customer program reviews
Analyze financial performance to identify and report on risk and funding issues
Perform financial planning functions, including overhead budgets, capital budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, performance measurement, audit support, and ad hoc analysis
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent experience is required plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
Experience in a government contracting environment is strongly preferred
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required
Preferred
Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation is preferred
