Responsibilities
Safely operate a company-provided van for pickups, deliveries, and inter-office transport
Load and unload equipment and materials, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage
Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, and proof-of-delivery documentation
Follow assigned routes and schedules while complying with all traffic laws
Assist warehouse staff with staging, organizing, receiving, and preparing items for transport
Communicate delays, issues, or route changes to supervisors in a timely manner
Uphold company standards for professionalism, safety, and customer service
Provide operational backfill and cross-coverage as directed by the supervisory team
Temporarily perform overlapping duties when required, provided they align with qualifications, training, and safety requirements
Adhere to all customer health, safety, and security protocols
Follow hospital and clinical environment policies, including required use of PPE
Proof of seasonal flu vaccination is required
Complete HIPAA training
Comply with site access, check-in, and security procedures
Subject to background investigation, CORI check, and motor vehicle record check
Access to customer facilities may require escorts or special authorization
Maintain professional conduct at all times when interacting with customers and staff
Qualification
Required
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, in accordance with insurance and fleet policies
Reliable personal transportation (Somerville location is not easily accessible by public transit)
Strong punctuality, reliability, and attention to detail
Familiarity with GPS and routing tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to identify operational or safety issues and initiate corrective actions
Proficiency with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel
Ability to stand, walk, crouch, and handle equipment for extended periods
Ability to frequently lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
Vision requirements include close, distance, and depth perception
Preferred
Previous delivery or driving experience preferred
Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems is a plus
Forklift certification is a plus for warehouse-focused duties
