Responsibilities
Leading or advising on multi-state income, franchise, sales & use, and gross receipts tax matters
Nexus studies, exposure analyses, and remediation strategies
SALT audit defense and controversy management
Transaction support (M&A, carve-outs, restructuring)
Acting as a senior advisor to Controllers, Tax Directors, or CFOs
Providing practical guidance, not academic memos
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA or MBA preferred
10+ years of hands-on accounting and tax experience
Strong experience preparing journal entries and performing account analysis
Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros, formulas)
Able to work independently and dive into detailed, high-volume reconciliations
Preferred
CPA or MBA preferred
Prior consulting or project-based experience is a plus
