Senior Data Analyst – Healthcare Analytics (Remote)

Rapid Talent Group is seeking a Senior Data Analyst with strong healthcare and pharmacy analytics experience to support data-driven initiatives. This role involves analyzing complex healthcare datasets, building dashboards, and translating analytics into actionable insights for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Analyze and integrate large-scale healthcare datasets including claims, membership, provider, pharmacy, and utilization data
Write and optimize complex SQL and SAS queries for recurring and ad hoc analytics
Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards and performance reports for clinical, quality, and operational leadership
Perform trend analysis and root cause investigations related to medication adherence, pharmacy quality measures, utilization, and care delays
Identify performance gaps, cost drivers, and improvement opportunities
Translate analytical findings into clear, executive-ready storytelling
Support ad hoc analytical projects as business needs arise
Collaborate with IT and data teams to enhance data integration and reporting workflows
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and regulatory reporting requirements
Support initiatives related to value-based care, quality programs, and accreditation

Required

5+ years of strong hands-on experience with SQL and SAS
3–4 years of strong experience with Tableau (dashboard development and data storytelling)
3–4 years of healthcare analytics experience, with direct exposure to: Pharmacy analytics and medication adherence, Health plan or managed care environments
Familiarity with pharmacy quality measures and adherence metrics
Exposure to value-based care analytics
Proven experience working with large, complex healthcare datasets
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight timelines
Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Bachelor's degree (required)
