Responsibilities

Prepare civil engineering designs, including grading, roadways, stormwater networks, utility improvements, and pipe networks using AutoCAD Civil 3D, StormCAD, MHFD design worksheets, SWMM, and WaterCAD
Collaborate with review agencies, respond to plan review comments, and manage client communications to ensure smooth project execution
Develop construction documents, specifications, entitlement documents, permit applications, and supporting calculations (e.g., storm drain, wastewater, earthwork quantities, and cost estimates)
Provide guidance to team members, perform QA/QC reviews, and foster the growth of junior staff through mentorship
Work within budget and schedule constraints, exercising judgment and independence on smaller projects while supporting larger initiatives

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado (or eligibility for reciprocity)
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Proficient in StormCAD
Proficient in MHFD design worksheets
Proficient in SWMM
Proficient in WaterCAD
8-10 years of experience in civil site design and project coordination
Strong understanding of site development (water systems, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, roadways)
Excellent communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent writing skills
Thrives in a team-oriented environment
