The Building Enclosure Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing Building Envelope Commissioning/Consulting Services, including design reviews, site inspections, and testing of building enclosure systems.

Responsibilities
Oversee Design Reviews
Oversee submittal and shop drawing reviews
Oversee periodic site inspections
Testing of exterior envelope systems, both in the field and in laboratory settings
Review site reports and maintain logs of ongoing project issues
Provide client support as it relates to the envelope systems
Responsible for project scheduling and budgets
Development of project management standards and procedures
Attend conferences and industry events
Maintain existing client relationships and assist in new client/project relations
Any special projects as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture / Engineering or Master's degree
General understanding of the fundamentals and detailing of various façade types
Genuine interest in following a project through from design through post occupancy
Strong interest in being in the field, witnessing envelope systems being installed and tested
Strong wiring skills, experience in past site report writing is a plus
Able to adapt quickly and work well with others, especially under tight deadlines
Willingness to travel
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Comfort with conveying ideas quickly through note writing and sketching
Willingness and ability to travel at a regular frequency
Preferred
Experience working in an architectural firm would be an advantage
Ideally experience doing Construction Administration
Working knowledge of Revit is a plus
