Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout of electrical systems

Utilize hand tools and testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues

Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations during all work performed

Conduct inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or necessary repairs

Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently and safely

Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices or less experienced electricians when necessary

Qualification

Journeyperson Electrician licenseHigh voltage equipmentLow voltage systemsBlueprint readingNational Electrical Code (NEC)Problem-solving skillsAttention to detailCommunication skills

Required

Valid Journeyperson Electrician license or equivalent certification

Proficiency in working with hand tools and high voltage equipment

Strong knowledge of low voltage systems and their applications

Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation accurately

Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members

Preferred

Experience as a commercial electrician or industrial electrician is preferred

Crane truck operation experience is a plus
