They are seeking an intern to join the Applied Metrology and Analytics team to develop computer vision and image processing algorithms for optical metrology applications, collaborating with the team on data collection and software development.

Responsibilities
Develop computer vision and image processing algorithms for optical metrology applications
Collaborate with the team in metrology image data collection and the development of software and analysis tools
Understand technical requirements and drive to a solution that meets them
Clearly document and communicate progress, findings, and insights to stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and or Optical Engineering with experience in image processing, having completed at least 2 years
Pursuing Master's degree in computer science or Masters/PhD in mathematics/physics/optical engineering or related fields
Experience in writing software: MATLAB, Python, C/C++, Java
Experience in computer vision and the development of image processing algorithms and software
Familiarity with software version management e.g. Git, SVN, GitHub, Bitbucket
A strong background of course work in computer science, mathematics or computational physics/engineering with a focus on computer vision and image processing
A basic understanding of optical measurement techniques (e.g. interferometry, optical sensors) and imaging systems
Have strong written and oral communicative skills
Demonstrated 'team player' with a quality orientation and interpersonal skills and a commitment to achieving results on time
Be able to interface with multidisciplinary groups and work effectively in a team and be willing to take on responsibility, follow through
Experience with data visualization techniques
Must be able to read and interpret data, information, and documents
Results driven; able to demonstrate ownership, accountability, and commitment to achieving results on time
Identify bottlenecks and drive improvements
Ability to complete assignments with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
Can observe and respond to people and situations and interact with others encountered in the course of work
Can learn and apply new information or skills
