Marine Service Engineer
Trackline is a Marine Services Company seeking a Service Engineer to join their team. The role involves providing technical services and solutions to maritime and industrial customers, focusing on diagnosing and repairing mechanical and propulsion issues onboard yachts and boats.
Responsibilities
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and propulsion issues onboard yachts and boats, often in space-restricted environments
Performing preventative technical maintenance tasks
Fabricating materials to effectively make repairs when the situation calls for it
Thinking on your feet to solve problems in the field, sometimes with limited resources
Working with teammates to accomplish customer and company goals
Qualification
Required
Experience with hands-on marine engineering and propulsion system experience
Ability to work independently, under general supervision
Ability to solve problems and provide technical solutions for rotating machinery
Experience in laser alignment, Cardan shaft alignment, vibration analysis, dynamic balancing, and optical alignment
Desire to work on and around boats, and the ocean in general
Verifiable mechanical or electrical skills with demonstrable hands-on experience
Strong communication skills and high integrity
Desire to learn about new mechanical systems
Operable vehicle and valid driver's license
Ability to move in and around small spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs when necessary
Local and international travel required
