Business Development Representative
Dataworks is a fast-growing Series A AI company looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to help build its outbound motion from scratch. The role involves prospecting, researching accounts, booking meetings, and maintaining strong CRM hygiene while working closely with senior sales leadership.
Responsibilities
Prospecting into enterprise and mid-market accounts via phone, email, LinkedIn, and creative outbound
Researching accounts and tailoring messaging so outreach feels relevant and human
Booking high-quality meetings and ensuring clean handoffs to AEs
Qualifying prospects and walking away quickly when there’s no fit
Handling objections with confidence and curiosity
Maintaining strong CRM hygiene and a consistent daily cadence
Qualification
Required
Curious, sharp, and quick to understand a new market and ICP
Scrappy and resourceful, comfortable figuring things out without waiting
Resilient and able to stay consistent despite rejection
High work ethic and strong daily discipline
Coachable and adaptable, with visible week-on-week improvement
Clear communicator who gets to the point
Accountable and action-oriented
Focused on quality conversations, not vanity metrics
Preferred
Previous BDR or outbound experience in B2B SaaS
Strong account research and custom messaging
Confidence in engaging multiple stakeholders
Experience in qualifying prospects and handling objections
Comfortable working with process, cadence, and targets
