Wanzl North America is a leading manufacturer of shopping carts and rolling equipment, seeking a Traveling Field Service Technician to join their team. The role involves providing outstanding service by repairing and maintaining equipment, conducting site surveys, and installing shelving, with travel required across several states in New England.

Responsibilities

As a Traveling Field Service Technician you are responsible for providing outstanding service to our customers by repairing rolling stock equipment such as shopping carts, pallet jacks, ladders, material handling carts, pressure wash sidewalks and equipment

You will also Install shelving and other installation projects

Troubleshoot access gates

Provide our customers with professional and courteous site surveys by collecting data and photos on your Smart Phone and company provided APP

Travel to customer sites to perform work; some overnight stays required

Maintain proper care of company vehicle, equipment, inventory and supplies and electronics

Required

New England residence only.-Preferably central CT or central MA

Willing to travel to multiple states -see above in posting

Strong mechanical aptitude

Likes using hands and tools to repair and troubleshoot

Comfortable with working in the elements

Proficient use of Apps and hand held devices

Time management skills

Solid communication/customer service skills

Can do attitude and self-motivated

Endurance and the ability to work in outdoor weather conditions

High school graduate, holder of G.E.D., or equivalent studies/experience

Must have valid vehicle operator's license and clean Motor Vehicle Report for last 5 years (no DUIs or suspensions)

Background check and pre-employment drug screen are required

Must be able to lift 50+ pounds

Field service: 3 years (Required)

Willingness to travel: 100% (Required)

Electrical experience preferred

Field experience

Electrical troubleshooting: 1 year (Preferred)

Mechanical knowledge: 2 years (Preferred)

Hand tools: 3 years (Preferred)
