Responsibilities
Organizes and oversees the work and schedules of facility staff
Manages discipline and termination of assigned employees as needed and in accordance with company policy
Leads an interdepartmental team to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency
Manage tracing of issues that may arise, such as missed deadlines, cost overruns, and scope creep
Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project
Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
During times of high bid volume, assisting with estimating from start to finish
Reviewing material submittals and shop drawings
Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
Regularly attend project site meetings
Negotiates and resolves Change Order Requests and RFQ proposals on behalf of the Areas
Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
Qualification
Required
In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
Familiarity with quality, health, and safety standards
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders involved in the construction process
Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Must be able to meet deadlines as business needs demand
Willingness/ability to travel regularly to job sites
Valid US driver's license (Class- C)
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple competing projects
Working proficiency in MS Office Suite
Preferred
Previous experience working in the utility industry
Experience working directly with General Contractors, internal and external clients, and vendors
