The Legal Intern will have the opportunity to learn about healthcare law and complete project-based tasks under the supervision of a department leader.

Responsibilities

Learn about and complete project-based task(s) and day to day activities within the Office of General Counsel

Work with multidisciplinary teams and learn about healthcare operational and regulatory work, healthcare litigation, corporate governance, medical staff and peer review, policy management and administration, physician and business arrangements, and clinical transactional matters

Required

Actively enrolled in an accredited law school

Bachelor's Degree required

Strong analytical skills and effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of staff and/or others while achieving positive outcomes

Excellent legal research skills, with a strong attention to detail

Demonstrated ability to manage a range of legal matters

Self-starter capable of working independently and seeking direction as needed

Ability to work under pressure, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines

Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite

Residency in the State of Wisconsin within driving proximity of office locations in Milwaukee County and Outagamie County, Wisconsin required

Preferred

Second or Third year law students preferred
