Project Manager - Architect / Studio Manager

They are seeking a Project Manager – Architect / Studio Manager to lead architectural projects, manage an in-house studio team, and ensure design excellence while adhering to project timelines and budgets.

Responsibilities
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets
Ensure project scope, timelines, and costs are clearly defined and adhered to
Lead and manage a dedicated team of architects and production staff
Build, mentor, and manage teams composed of existing and newly hired architects
Oversee studio operations, workflow, staffing coordination, and project delivery
Ensure effective collaboration and communication among all team members
Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation
Track project expenditures and manage project costs to avoid overruns
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates throughout the life of the project
Ensure all designs and construction activities comply with applicable building codes, regulations, and standards
Identify and resolve design issues while maintaining the highest quality standards
Apply a strong review foundation to drawings, documents, and team deliverables
Develop risk mitigation strategies to protect project timelines, costs, and quality
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, permits, and change orders
Ensure all project milestones are documented and tracked
Prepare and review progress reports, budgets, and final project reports
Qualification
Required
Minimum 20 years of professional architectural experience
Significant experience serving in a Project Manager and/or Studio Manager role
Proven experience managing a dedicated architectural team
Demonstrated success building and leading teams of both existing and new architects
Experience overseeing studio operations within a multi-studio environment
Knowledge and experience across all phases of architectural projects
Knowledge of other disciplines and ability to direct interdisciplinary coordination
Detailed knowledge of building codes and industry standards, including ADA
Foundation in CADD and Revit
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Licensed Architect (required)
Bachelor's degree in Architecture
Ability to work five days per week in the office
Preferred
LEED accreditation preferred
PMP certification a plus
