Responsibilities
Leading projects related to the State Hazard Mitigation Plan and local and Tribal Hazard Mitigation Planning
Facilitating meetings with stakeholders
Coordinating various activities to ensure the timely completion of annual updates to the State Hazard Mitigation Plan and local and Tribal Hazard Mitigation Plans
Staying informed about federal policies, directives, goals, and frameworks to assess their impact on essential emergency management planning documentation
Engaging with a diverse spectrum of entities, including federal, state, local, county, Tribal, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and private sector stakeholders, as needed
Qualification
Required
2+ Years of Experience as a high-level planner (Government experience, experience with Written Plans, SOPs)
Advanced planning experience
Written planning (Possibly continuity of government plans)
Very organized person
Preferred
Professional Communication Skills
Knowledge of Federal Policies directives, goals, and frameworks to assess their impact on essential emergency management planning documentation
Education - Degree in Emergency Management
Experience with Emergency Planning
Open to new graduates with Emergency Management Degree
