The Senior Software Engineer will focus on developing the blockchain indexing platform, collaborating with engineers and researchers, and contributing to architectural decisions and code reviews.

Responsibilities

Develop and enhance the blockchain-indexing platform, focusing on the Rust programming language
Participate in backend development activities, propose architectural decisions, and contribute to design and code reviews
Document all code and functionalities implemented
Work closely with the DevOps team to improve the reliability and operational stability
Provide support for critical issues (e.g. bugs, application crashes) during assigned on-call rotation

Required

Minimum 2 to 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
2+ years experience asynchronous programming in Rust
2+ years software engineering experience, preferably in areas like distributed systems
Experience in backend development, proposing architectural decisions, and participating in design and code reviews
Prior work experience in blockchain and/or web3 (or adjacent industries)
Knowledge of scalability, security, and performance considerations
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage conflicting requirements
Self-motivated, fast learner, and capable of taking ownership of projects
Open-mindedness, eagerness to embrace new ideas and technologies, and willingness to explore different approaches
Strong written documentation skills
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken
Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate ideas and communicate across teams, in a remote and async environment
Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Ability to work independently

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Math, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field. Masters or PhD is a plus
