University Aide - IMT Temporary Employee-Desktop Engineering

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service to campus constituents
Demonstrates strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Technical support for faculty, staff, students, and DE managed systems
Image and deploy computers to staff, faculty, and labs
Package and deploy applications to various managed workstations
Contribute to DE documentation and knowledge base evolution
Participate in DE code review process as needed
Troubleshoot operating systems, applications, and peripheral issues
Review tickets and take necessary action where applicable
Work with other full-time team members and/or student technicians as needed
Assist with campus-wide printing support
Escalate to DE Senior Engineers, DE Assistant Director, other IM&T unit(s) as needed
Maintain asset information in ticketing system, including inventory auditing
Other duties as assigned

Required

Candidates must have valid U.S. work authorization at the time of application; UNC cannot provide H-1B sponsorship at this time

Satisfactory completion of a background check, educational check, and authorization to work in the United States is required after a conditional offer of employment has been made
The successful candidate must submit original transcripts within one (1) month of hire
