Sky Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior D365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Functional Consultant to lead the analysis, design, and implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O solutions. The role involves translating complex business requirements into scalable functional solutions across Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain modules, while ensuring successful implementations and user adoption.

Responsibilities

Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional solutions within D365 F&O
Design, configure, and document solutions across modules including: General Ledger, Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable, Budgeting & Cash and Bank Management, Fixed Assets & Expense Management, Inventory Management, Sales, Procurement, Project Management & Accounting
Develop and maintain Functional Design Documents (FDDs) and solution documentation
Design bespoke FinOps solutions using standard functionality, third-party tools, and customizations where required
Lead business process analysis and requirement-gathering workshops
Conduct fit-gap analysis, document findings, and propose optimized solutions
Define and evaluate functional and non-functional requirements
Present functional requirements and design decisions to stakeholders, business leads, and SMEs for sign-off
Provide regular updates and guidance to Project Managers
Develop test plans, build test cases, and execute: Functional testing, Data acceptance testing, Process and user acceptance testing (UAT)
Support data migration activities using the Data Management Framework (DMF)
Assist with system configuration, functional installation, and go-live readiness
Provide go-live and post go-live support, including issue resolution and process optimization
Create training materials and deliver end-user and key-user training sessions
Conduct FinOps demonstrations and walkthroughs
Transfer solution knowledge to internal support teams to ensure long-term sustainability

Required

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
Minimum 3+ years experience as a D365 F&O Functional Consultant
Minimum 4+ years experience as a Dynamics AX 2012 Functional Consultant
Participation in at least 2 full end-to-end D365/AX implementation cycles
Strong expertise in Finance modules, including: General Ledger, Budgeting, Cash and Bank Management, Fixed Assets, Expense Management, Consolidations
Experience implementing Dynamics Finance in multi-company environments
Proven experience conducting business process analysis and creating detailed process flows (e.g., Visio)
Strong experience performing fit-gap analysis using structured templates
Hands-on experience with Data Management Framework (DMF)
Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder presentation skills
Ability to advise on complex business scenarios and recommend solutions using D365 standard functionality, third-party integrations, or custom development

Preferred

Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications
Experience with integrations and third-party solutions
Knowledge of the broader Microsoft ecosystem, including: Power BI, Power Platform (Power Apps, Dataverse), Azure Logic Apps, Azure Data Lake, Microsoft SQL
Experience working in Agile or fast-paced delivery environments
