Responsibilities
Follow batch card directions to stage raw materials and charge hand-adds to produce finished products that meet customer specifications
Confirm TA item code numbers before charging, verify lot numbers and material weights, and record all lot numbers on the batch card
Clean and inspect the blender to ensure readiness, then stage and prepare for the next compound charge
Report any deviation from procedures to supervision and document the variation on the batch card
Coordinate blender production with other operating areas to maintain flow and schedule
Review the production schedule; follow customer packaging instructions so every unit is packed, labeled, weighed, and sealed correctly; escalate any issues to the Bagger Leadman
Generate labels and accurately align/affix them to containers
Perform timely, efficient, and clean changeovers on packaging equipment while using required safety equipment; communicate with mill area operators after changeover
Prepare packaging materials for upcoming work (e.g., Gaylords, Supersacks, etc.)
Scan/enter finished product into the computer system
Maintain good housekeeping and wear required PPE at all times
Meet or exceed plant KPIs and actively support Lean Manufacturing initiatives
Learn the Line 4 Blending area and be prepared to fill in on other jobs as needed
