The Director of Operations for the SEG Advanced Modeling Corporation is responsible for the operational, financial, and strategic management of SEAM research programs, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations and driving business development within the SEG community.

Responsibilities

Oversee overall operations of SEAM programs, ensuring effective coordination and execution of activities
Work with SEAM volunteers, committees, and other SEG departments to maintain high visibility for SEAM research programs at events such as IMAGE
Assist the SEAM Board in developing the annual budget and monitor operational results against the budget
Work with SEG’s finance team to produce regular financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and operational forecasts
Ensure sound financial practices and transparency in reporting
Ensure compliance with government and consortia member contracts and reporting requirements
Prepare and negotiate consortia membership agreements and draft grant funding requests to organizations such as RPSEA
Liaise with SEAM’s business development contractors to promote and recruit members for new projects
Represent SEAM activities to the SEG membership and external stakeholders, enhancing participation and awareness of SEAM’s research initiatives
Provide oversight and direction to staff and serve as a key liaison between the SEAM Board, committees, and SEG leadership
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure SEAM’s operational strategies align with broader organizational goals

Required

Senior leadership experience in operational, financial, and strategic management
Experience in overseeing operations of research programs
Ability to work with volunteers, committees, and other departments

Experience in producing financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and operational forecasts
Knowledge of compliance with government and consortia member contracts
Experience in preparing and negotiating consortia membership agreements
Ability to draft grant funding requests
Experience in business development and outreach
