YMCA of Columbia-Willamette is seeking a Leader, Youth Development who will oversee all areas of the School age programs and expand youth program opportunities. The role involves recruiting and training staff, innovating new programs, and engaging community stakeholders to support the YMCA's strategic goals.

Responsibilities
Recruiting, training and leading a staff team to provide high quality youth programming
Innovating and implementing new programs that serve youth in the community
Development, implementation and management of successful annual financial plans
Engaging community stakeholders to identify prospective investors who have the capacity to contribute significant gifts to advance the Y’s strategic plan
Innovate, launch and maintain a variety of new programs
Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff
Identify prospective communities and partners for offering YMCA Youth Development Programs
Foster relationships to expand YMCA of Columbia-Willamette’s Geographic Footprint
Engage in 5 monthly conversations with potential investors that further the Y’s Philanthropic goals
Frequent program observations, ensuring high quality program using YMCA best practices
Ensure success of annual fiscal plans for Youth Development Programs
Serve on/lead Association committees, cabinets, and task forces
Ability to work harmoniously with Leadership Staff
Clear and prompt communication with supervisor, staff, and participants
Understand the mission and play a vital role in the YMCA of Columbia-Willamette’s Strategic Plan
Participate in all staff meetings and functions
Ability to work well in high stress situations, responding properly to critical incidents, and act swiftly in emergency situations
Must be able to delegate appropriately, establish productive relations with staff team, volunteers, donors, school districts, new communities, etc
Ability to conduct and manage large programs within budget and meet goals
Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation
Qualification
Required
Must pass YMCA background check
CPR and First Aid certifications or ability to acquire certifications within 30 days of employment
Must have reliable transportation across the Association
2 years of experience working with youth in varying capacities
2 years of supervisory experience in varying capacities
Complete YMCA Learning and Leadership Training pathway in timely manner (upon hire)
Preferred
College Degree in related field (Early Childhood, Elementary Education, Recreation Management, etc.) preferred
