Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end architecture and design of Guidewire implementations (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter / ClaimCenter) on cloud infrastructure
Design scalable, secure, high-performance cloud-native solutions (leveraging GW Cloud Platform, containerization, microservices, etc.)
Define integration strategies between Guidewire and external/internal systems (e.g., payment gateways, CRM, document management, data warehouses, third-party data providers)
Oversee Guidewire configuration, customization, data modeling, workflows, rating, product definitions, rules, etc
Drive cloud-migration or greenfield implementation initiatives, including upgrade planning, versioning, coexistence with legacy systems if needed
Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, enterprise architects — translate business requirements into technical solutions
Provide technical leadership, mentor developers/integration teams, conduct code/design reviews, ensure adherence to architectural standards and best practices
Establish and manage DevOps/CI-CD pipelines, cloud deployment automation, infrastructure as code, monitoring, performance optimization
Participate in capacity planning, security governance, compliance, performance tuning, and risk management
Closely oversee data conversion processes during Guidewire implementations, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and seamless migration from legacy systems
Design and govern portal solutions leveraging the Jutro digital platform, ensuring alignment with Guidewire Digital standards and customer experience goals
Qualification
Required
8-10+ years of experience in enterprise-level software architecture/design, with 5+ years specifically on Guidewire (PolicyCenter; BillingCenter / ClaimCenter advantageous)
MUST HOLD (1) or More Certs: Guidewire Specialist, Guidewire Professional, Guidewire ACE (Advanced Certified Expert)
Strong hands-on experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP) implementations or migrations — not just exposure
Deep knowledge of Guidewire configuration and customization: Gosu, PCF, Data Model, Typelists, Rule Engine, Advanced Product Designer (APD), Rating, Plugins/workflows, etc
Expertise with integration technologies: REST/SOAP APIs, messaging frameworks, data integration, batch processing, etc
Solid experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or similar), container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices
Strong understanding of P&C insurance business domain (personal/commercial lines) terminology, processes, business flows
Excellent communication skills; ability to interface technical and non-technical stakeholders, translate requirements across teams
Required to travel up to 10% for project engagements, stakeholder meetings, and workshops
Preferred
Certification in Guidewire (e.g., ACE or equivalent) for PolicyCenter / InsuranceSuite
Experience in greenfield implementations as well as upgrades and migration from on-prem to cloud
Familiarity with Guidewire Digital products (e.g., portals), and modern UI frameworks
Experience with enterprise data warehousing, reporting, document management, reinsurance systems — depending on company needs
Prior experience working in a distributed (on-site/off-shore) team or managing remote teams
Experience with Guidewire Integration Gateway for building and managing APIs and external system connectivity
Hands-on experience with Guidewire Jutro framework for modern UI/UX design
