Responsibilities
Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of critical systems and applications
Build and evolve systems using best practices to ensure client confidentiality
Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring their availability, performance, and overall health
Keep up-to-date with industry trends, share knowledge with the team, and contribute to the professional development of colleagues
Share on-call duties with the team and be an escalation contact for service incidents
Proactively design efficient processes and automate tedious tasks
Effectively and concisely communicate complex technical topics to peers
Respectfully voice alternative solutions in the architecture and design process
Maintain comprehensive documentation for system architecture, procedures, and best practices
Work with engineering teams to improve how they design, develop, deliver, and evolve Talkspace services, to improve their availability, scalability, and performance
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
BA/BS or MA/MS in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience)
2-5 years of experience administering cloud environments, including AWS, GCP
Experience administering cloud environment infrastructure as code
Experience with orchestration tools, such as Kubernetes, ECS
Demonstrable knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTPS, application security, monitoring, and storage
Experience managing applications such as MySQL, Postgres, Redis, Redshift and DNS
Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis, and software design
Experience developing production code
