Responsibilities
Perform analytical testing on ingredients, in-process products, and finished goods
Conduct sensory evaluations on every batch to ensure taste, texture, and appearance meet quality standards
Monitor critical control points (CCPs) for food safety compliance
Verify labeling accuracy for microbiological samples and finished goods
Use lab equipment proficiently and maintain accurate data entry via software or written methods
Notify relevant personnel about out-of-spec results or paperwork discrepancies
Inspect equipment for cleanliness post-wash when necessary
Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED strongly preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Proficient in basic math, data entry, and computer usage
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment
Strong communication skills with the ability to express ideas professionally and clearly
Flexible schedule with ability to work overtime, weekends, and required shifts
A team mindset and the organizational skills to multi-task efficiently
