Lockheed Martin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Sr Staff - CNC Machining for their manufacturing team. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing efficient CNC machining processes to produce high-quality production parts, as well as creating and revising CNC machining programs and troubleshooting production issues.

Responsibilities

Creating and revising CNC machining programs for production parts

Verifying CNC programs through prove-outs on production machines

Specifying and controlling work holding and tooling

Creating and revising manufacturing work instructions

Troubleshooting and resolving production issues on the shop floor

Training production machine operators

Assisting in the acquisition and installation of new machines and tooling

Training other manufacturing engineers

Adopting new technology and/or automation into machining processes

Required

Must be a U.S. citizen

Ability to obtain a secret clearance

Strong background in machining processes

Experience with CAM software

Creating and revising CNC machining programs for production parts

Verifying CNC programs through prove-outs on production machines

Specifying and controlling work holding and tooling

Creating and revising manufacturing work instructions

Troubleshooting and resolving production issues on the shop floor

Training production machine operators

Assisting in the acquisition and installation of new machines and tooling

Training other manufacturing engineers

Adopting new technology and/or automation into machining processes

Preferred

Experience with some or all of the following machine types: VMCs, HMCs, CNC lathes, Mill-turn, and Gantry Mills

Experience designing/specifying custom work-holding

Experience implementing new designs into production

Experience working with design engineers to promote design for manufacturability
