Manufacturing Engineer - CNC Machining - Sr Staff
Lockheed Martin is a leader in aerospace and defense, and they are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Sr Staff - CNC Machining to join their manufacturing team. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing efficient CNC machining processes to produce high-quality production parts.

Responsibilities
Creating and revising CNC machining programs for production parts
Verifying CNC programs through prove-outs on production machines
Specifying and controlling work holding and tooling
Creating and revising manufacturing work instructions
Troubleshooting and resolving production issues on the shop floor
Training production machine operators
Assisting in the acquisition and installation of new machines and tooling
Training other manufacturing engineers
Adopting new technology and/or automation into machining processes
Qualification
Required
Knowledgeable of machining processes, able to evaluate and resolve machining problems
Experience with Siemens NX CAD/CAM
Experience creating CNC machining programs for production parts
Experience programming G-code at the machine control
Experience reading and understanding engineering drawings and GD&T
Must be US citizen with ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
Preferred
Experience with some or all of the following machine types: VMCs, HMCs, CNC lathes, Mill-turn, and Gantry Mills
Experience designing/specifying custom work-holding
Experience implementing new designs into production
Experience working with design engineers to promote design for manufacturability
