Creating engaging and compelling social media video content that aligns with Boston University's brand and social media strategy
Working closely with the Director of social media and other PR Social team members to develop and execute content that drives engagement
Incorporating trends related to the University and increasing brand awareness
Highlighting BU's strategic priorities and institutional values, including community, excellence, and inclusion

Required

Typically requires a bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of experience in content creation, focusing on short-form or social media-style video content
Strong storytelling skills and the ability to create compelling narratives
Experience filming videos on Smartphones and professional cameras
Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro
Experience with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and YouTube Shorts
Knowledge of social media trends and best practices
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Comfortable appearing and speaking in front of the camera
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines

Preferred

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) skills are a plus
