Senior Industrial Engineering Technician
Whirlpool Corporation is a leading home appliance company focused on improving life at home. The Senior Industrial Engineering Technician will be responsible for establishing process parameters, leading process optimization, and providing project management for equipment improvements.

Responsibilities
Establish process parameters, create standardized work, train standardized work, and improve standardized work for Upright and Backshop processes
Lead process optimization, root cause analysis, and capacity increases
Facilitate projects and teach / mentor / train shop floor teams in lean strategies and concepts
Provide day-to-day support to the Upright and Backshop set ups, engineering team, and operations leadership, including problem-solving, cost estimates, standard costs, labor and process flow / layouts
Provide project management for implementing improvements to new and existing equipment
Work cross functionally with other teams, including maintenance and tooling personnel, to drive solutions to equipment related problems
Qualification
Required
Minimum requirement 2 years of experience as an Engineering Tech, or a 2 or 4 year skilled trade certification
Manufacturing process experience
Basic Problem-Solving Skills
Working knowledge of the following fundamentals: Project management, R600a, Foaming Process, Hypot and Leak Check equipment and D/C tooling
Demonstrated ability to manage LOTO procedures and lead safety initiatives
Preferred
2 year associate's degree in an engineering field or progress toward
AutoCAD and Solidworks/ 3D Solid Modeling experience
Experience with creating working sets of drawings for equipment including GD&T
Google, and Microsoft Office experience
Well-developed communications, project management, coaching, interpersonal and team building skills
Resourcefulness in accomplishing objectives and completing tasks with minimal supervision yet seeks guidance when appropriate
Skills to research and understand root cause for product and process problems and drive improvement based on analysis
Comprehensive knowledge of the use of advanced manufacturing techniques in a Lean Manufacturing environment/ WCM principles
Extensive mechanical knowledge, as well as design ability
Ability to use or learn SAP, data acquisition systems and P2P
Exposure to robotic automation and its applications
Good judgment, planning and analytical skills with the ability to introduce new and different concepts into an existing organization
Possess strong time management skills with the ability to multitask, including project work and meetings
