Field Service Engineer

Responsibilities

Become part of a team that performs OEM semiconductor equipment installation for start-up services
There are several locations for a particular home base with start-up demands, and the job will require travel
Training will be provided for the proper installation of the OEM equipment
Performs on-site service, installation, and repair of semiconductor processing equipment
Troubleshoot equipment problems
Utilizes electromechanical skills to provide excellent service to customers
Participates in site safety programs to create a zero-hazard environment
Demonstrates ability to understand detailed electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
Understands and adheres to all site fab protocol requirements
Comprehends test equipment including various test meters, hand and power tools
Able to read engineering drawings and electrical diagrams

Ability to work well with other team members
Demonstrated teamwork and strong partnership within Equipment Maintenance Team with superb functional teamwork
Inclined to both mentor new Technicians and openly learn from experienced colleagues
Values other points of view (including Management, Operations, Engineering, Factory Business Control, Fab IT Systems, and Clean Room Facilities teams)
Strong ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others to deliver quality repairs on a daily basis
Ability to Travel 60%-80% domestic or occasional international travel/and or occasional overnight travel to the factory, training facilities, and customer locations may be required. Subject to customer's business needs and requirements. All travel expenses paid
Proficiency in basic computer skills (MS Office Suite)
English communication skills, both written and verbal
Hands-on skills and knowledge in mechanics and electronics
Ability to use hand tools, meters, and read/interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics
Desire to learn new hands-on skills, work in a team and become familiar with a fab/clean room environment if not already
May be required to walk up to 5+miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hrs at a time, ability to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50 pounds
