Temporary Researcher
The University of Colorado Boulder is seeking a temporary researcher for the Boulder Optical Laboratory for Translational Science (BOLTS) to support research in advanced optical and acoustic imaging. This position will involve hands-on experience in experimental setup, data collection, and data processing for various imaging projects.

The selected candidate will contribute to experimental setup, data collection, and data processing for projects involving photoacoustic imaging, optical imaging, and quantitative image analysis
Qualification
Required
Applicants must have completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of Colorado Boulder with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
Prior experience in a research laboratory, either through coursework, independent study, or internship, is required
Strong foundational knowledge in physics, including optics and electromagnetism
Ability to perform careful experimental work with attention to detail
Proficiency in data analysis using scientific computing tools such as MATLAB or Python
Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a research setting
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to learn new methodologies related to optical and acoustic imaging
Preferred
Coursework or hands-on experience in optics, photonics, ultrasonics, or imaging science
Experience with laboratory instrumentation such as lasers, detectors, and data acquisition systems
Familiarity with image processing, scientific programming, and numerical modeling
Demonstrated interest in biomedical imaging or related applied physics research
