Tax Operations Accountant
LHH is representing a client in North Haven, CT seeking a Tax Operations Accountant. This role involves verifying and inputting client tax data into preparation software to assist in filing tax returns, as well as supporting administrative tasks related to tax return production.
Responsibilities
Responsible for verifying and inputting tax data submitted by clients for the purpose of filing tax returns
Input any missing information into the software by looking into the company database for comparison
Support the administrative staff in managing the production and delivery of tax returns, and other administrative tasks
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
1-3 yrs of tax accounting experience
Basic computer skills and knowledge
Exceptional organizational skills, follow-up skills, and high attention to detail
Excellent written and oral communication skills, comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Willing to work extra hours during busy tax season
Preferred
Previous accounting firm experience (tax preparation experience a plus)
Knowledge of CCH Axcess Tax, SurePrep, and TaxCaddy
