Responsibilities
Review and advise on a broad range of marketing and promotional materials, including: -Digital and social media ads
Influencer collaborations and endorsements
Sweepstakes, contests, and loyalty programs
Email, website, and mobile app content
Brand partnerships, sponsorships, and experiential marketing
Ensure compliance with advertising, consumer protection, and privacy regulations, including FTC guidelines and state promotional laws
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including marketing, compliance, product, and creative teams, to provide practical, business-aligned legal guidance
Support ongoing process improvement, playbook development, and risk-mitigation initiatives
Qualification
Required
Admitted to practice law in good standing in any U.S. jurisdiction (must be eligible to practice in your state of residence under applicable in-house counsel rules)
5+ years of experience advising on marketing and advertising law, including at least 3 years of experience in an in-house environment
Deep understanding of digital marketing, influencer programs, and promotions compliance
Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills; solution-oriented mindset
Preferred
Prior experience supporting major consumer, tech, or retail brands
